A tubular perimetric space frame, a modern chassis with a short wheel base,reliable suspension and braking components, the project sounds a little crazy, but it will not quit me until final completion.
In fact I have had this project of a track bike growing in my head since my implication with the COYOTE RACING TEAM and our experience of classic bikes on the track finally convinced me it was not any longer reasonable to scrape the head pipes of my road going Commando on the tracks.
So off with the Laverda frame.
For the engine, no hesitation,
it had to be the Norton Commando.
It is the one I prefer, with its immense qualities... and few defaults ( largely curable though).
This was the start of a busy winter: Drawings, various calculations made and re-made, cardboard templates, then plywood, and finally aluminium alloy.
